After London, Rome, Trieste, Zagreb and many other world metropolises, Belgrade is getting its first coffee, tea and hot beverage festival. A unique event in the region, it will be held this year in Belgrade, on the 26. and 27. September, in the street Ušće, the nearest vicinity of the Ušće shopping center. The tagline “Just when you thought you knew everything about coffee…” promises an exciting festival. Coffee, tea, and other hot beverage lovers will have the opportunity to get to know new trends and brewing methods, as well as enjoy the various tastes and aromas of their favorite beverages that will be prepared by more than 30 exhibitors.
Coffee professionals will have the opportunity to attend lectures and panel discussions, go through training so that they will perfect their business, and participate in the national barista competition. Leading coffee manufacturers from the world and the region will participate in the festival, and some of them will present their products for the first time on the local market.
It is expected that over 30.000 real coffee and tea enthusiasts will visit CoffeeFest, and besides sampling all the different tastes, they will also enjoy an entertaining program, musical performances and competitions. The best baristas will reveal to the visitors how to make a perfect espresso and latte art, and teach them how to choose a coffee machine. The attendees will find out how coffee grows, how people drink it around the world, how it affects the health, and everything else you ever wanted to know about this magical beverage. CoffeeFest thinks about the youngest who will have a lot of fun with the animators in our kids corner, and for the little ones without parents, there will be a benefit “Coffee with a heart”, and also “Coffee with celebrities”.
The educational character of the festival is in the organized workshops, and in the Eco corner, the visitors will learn how to creatively recycle coffee packaging, and also take their own coffee plant home.
